It takes a community to make theatre happen! Whether you’re welcoming audiences, running a spotlight, or helping backstage, volunteers are the heart of the Arizona Classical Theatre Festival.

Training is provided — no prior experience required.

Volunteer Opportunities at the Arizona Classical Theatre Festival

Front of House

• Ushers — greet patrons, hand out programs, assist with seating.

• House Managers — oversee ushers, coordinate with stage management, ensure smooth audience experience.

• Concessions Staff — sell snacks, beverages, or merchandise.

• At-Door Box Office — assist with ticket pickup, door sales, and PWYW Thursday donations.

• Merchandise Sales — assist with SRC, guest theatre and Festival merchandise (hats, mugs, etc.)

Backstage & Production

• Running Crew — assist with scene shifts, props, and costumes during performances.

• Wardrobe Assistants — help with costume changes, maintenance, and laundry.

• Props Assistants — organize, track, and manage props during shows.

• Load-In/Load-Out Crew — help set up and strike sets, lighting, and equipment at the start and end of productions.

Administrative & Outreach

• Marketing Ambassadors — distribute posters, flyers, and promote the Festival in the community.

• Photographers/Videographers — capture performances and events for archives and marketing.

• Education & Talkback Assistants — help with school matinees, post-show discussions, or youth workshops.

• Event Support — assist with donor receptions, opening nights, or sponsor events.
