About our Executive Director
Wes Martin, Executive Director of Sonoran Repertory Theatre, brings more than 45 years of experience as a director, actor, and producer in the Phoenix theatre community. He is the founding artistic leader of The Shakespeare Theatre in Phoenix (1998–2006), where he produced and directed award-winning classical productions including Richard III, Julius Caesar, and Much Ado About Nothing. Wes later established Off-Center Productions (2006–2009), a company known for bold, innovative staging and community-centered programming.

Throughout his career, Wes has worked extensively with leading Arizona companies, including Arizona Theatre Company, Phoenix Theatre, Arizona Broadway Theatre, and Theater Works. His expertise spans classical theatre, modern adaptations, and educational programming, with a reputation for combining creative vision with community accessibility.
